PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY (THIS “POLICY”) CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE WEBSITE OF MAGNETIC ANALYSIS CORPORATION (THE “SITE”). BY USING THE SITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THIS POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT TO ANY OF THE TERMS OF THE POLICY, YOU SHOULD NOT USE THE SITE.

The term “MAC” or “us” or “we” or “our” refers to MAGNETIC ANALYSIS CORPORATION, the owner of the Site. The term “you” refers to the user or viewer of the Site. The Site is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.  MAC affiliates and third parties with which MAC or its affiliates have business relationships, including service providers and companies in a supply or distribution chain for MAC or an affiliate’s products and services, are intended third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement. The term “Beneficiaries” refers to the affiliates and third parties.

Our Privacy Policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the information you provide to us about you and your company and to assist you in making informed decisions when using the Site.

What Information Do We Collect?

When you visit the Site you might provide us with two types of information: (i) personal or business information you knowingly choose to disclose that is collected on an individual basis, and (ii) Site use information collected on an aggregate basis as you and others browse the Site.

1. Personal or Business Information You Choose to Provide

Registration Information

You might provide us with information, including, but not limited to, your and your company’s names,  your title and your contact information and other information when you register for certain services such as training, surveys, email newsletters and alerts. You might also provide comments on your needs and interests.  We may request additional information, such as technical specifications, financial information and other business information, when you request quotations for products or services through the Site.

Email Information

If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.

2. Site Use Information

Similar to other commercial websites, the Site may utilize a standard technology called “cookies” (see explanation below, “What Are Cookies?”) and Web server logs to collect information about how the Site is used. Some information gathered through cookies and Web server logs may include the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at the Site, and the websites visited just before and just after the Site.

How Do We Use The Information That You Provide To Us?

We use personal information for purposes of administering and expanding our business activities, responding to requests for product quotes, providing customer service, and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers. Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to the Site, as well as new services and special offers we think you will find valuable. You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers by emailing us at (email address to come).

What Are Cookies?

A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a website, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies. Each website can send its own cookie to your browser if your browser’s preferences allow it, but (to protect your privacy) your browser only permits a website to access the cookies it has already sent to you, not the cookies sent to you by other websites.

Do We Disclose Any Information To Outside Parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. We do, however, share personally identifiable information, sometimes across national borders, with the Beneficiaries, which are affiliates of MAC or other trusted third parties who assist us in operating the Site, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Site policies, or protect our–or others’–rights, property or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses

Online Privacy Policy Only

This Policy applies only to information collected through the Site and not to information collected offline.

What About Other Websites Linked to the Site?

We are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from the Site, nor the information or content contained therein. Often links to other websites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of the Site. Please remember that when you use a link to go from the Site to another website, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites that have a link on the Site, are subject to that website’s own rules and policies. Please read those rules and policies carefully before proceeding.

Your Consent

By using the Site you consent to our collection, use and limited disclosure of your personal information as described in this Policy. If, in our sole discretion, we change our privacy policies and procedures, we will post those changes on the Site to keep you aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may disclose it, but without specific notice to you.  Your further use of the Site will confirm your consent and agreement to be bound by this Policy as changed.
