Shijie Quote: “Magnetic Analysis’s comprehensive modality ranges enable a single-source
NDT solution that helps manufacturers consistently meet international inspection and
quality standards.”
ITA: What are your expectations for Tube China 2026?
Shijie: As an exhibitor of Tube/Wire China 2026 for the last few years we always look
forward to how the show has expanded and the subsequent business opportunities that
are available as exhibitors. In 2026, we will focus on the aviation and nuclear tube/bar
industries, with the Echomac® UT 25mm rotary. China’s sustained focus on the nuclear
sector is reinforced by recent political commitments, including the 15th Five-Year Plan and
China’s pledge at COP28 to triple nuclear energy capacity by 2050. These commitments
further align MAN’s Shanghai team with the goals of critical application metal producers,
positioning the team to support the market at Tube China 2026 through turnkey technology,
expertise, and industry experience.
ITA: What are the main products and technologies that MAN will be presenting at tube
China 2026?
Shijie: Given our focus on aviation and nuclear, spotlight demonstrations include the
Echomac® 25mm ultrasonic rotary, FD6 II ( UT electronics), Rotomac® 20mm high-speed
eddy current rotary, and Minimac® II (ET electronics). The demonstrations will be live and
hands-on for customers to understand testing capabilities, work with the easy-to-use
software and ask questions of our staff about their custom testing needs.
ITA: Magnetic Analysis is the only global supplier focused exclusively on automated
systems and NDT. You do not offer portable products or products outside of the NDT
industry. How important is this focused approach, and what advantages does it provide to
customers?
Shijie: It’s like you said, we are the ONLY GLOBAL supplier with the four test technologies
built in house. It’s from that focused product portfolio that we have spent 50+ years
consistently improving our technology to stay at the front of development in the NDT
market. We supply turn-key NDT solutions with (if needed) multiple combined technologies
(UT + ET, etc.). Customers are at the heart of every decision we make, from delivering the
right testing solutions to providing 24-hour on-site service when needed. Our team
combines technical expertise with a strong focus on customer needs.
ITA: Can you tell us about some recent successful MAN systems or installations in China?
Shijie: Three recent systems in China include an MID ET system utilizing a MultiMac® eddy
current electronics and an encircling coil to detect short transverse defects and inclusions
in the product, from the manufacturing process. This system provides reliable, high-speed
inspection while addressing critical quality requirements for copper and other metal
products.
The second system is a turnkey ultrasonic/eddy current system for seamless tubes 5
24.4mm in diameter. It combines a 25mm UT rotary and a 65mm coil platform and
encircling coil with FD6 II and MultiMac® electronics, with data consolidated to a single
output via MultiCollector II software. The entire system is mounted on a triple pinch bench
for product stabilization through the test heads.
The third system is a 20mm high-speed Rotomac® eddy current rotary with encircling coils
and MultiMac® II electronics for detecting transverse and longitudinal surface defects on
copper and copper alloy products.
ITA: What new products, technologies, or developments can MAN customers in China look
forward to in the future?
Shijie: With the new GB/T 12969 requirements for dual-modality testing of titanium and
titanium alloy tubes, MAN can highlight its turnkey single-line system combining a 25mm
UT rotary with a high-speed 25 mm eddy current rotary for small-diameter tube inspection.
With an order-to-installation timeframe of less than one year, MAN enables customers in
China to quickly meet evolving industry standards.
ITA: Are there any additional comments you would like customers to know about the MAN
Shanghai team?
Our team serves 100+ customers across China, providing a 24-hour service response and
typically delivering on-site support within one business day. Each service team member
has 15+ years of NDT experience, with extensive experience supporting Magnetic Analysis
systems and equipment.
The MAN team at Tube China 2026, Hall E1 Booth E05, will include Dezhong Zhao, Field
Engineer, with 30 years of NDT experience and 25 years with MAN; Miles Jing, Field
Engineer, with 15 years of NDT experience and 15 years with MAN; and Shijie Li, Business
Leader, China and Southeast Asia, with 35 years of NDT experience and 4 years with MAN.
Together, the team brings 80 years of NDT experience and 44 years of experience with MAN.
