ULTRASONIC & EDDY CURRENT BILLET TEST SYSTEMS AVAILABLE

The Magnetic Analysis ultrasonic billet inspection system utilizing MAC's Echomac® FD-4 test electronics with 48 channels, expandable to 64, makes it possible to ultrasonically inspect large bar products a production speeds.

The test system includes four test heads covering a quadrant of the bar or billet. Each head includes 3 surface ride shoes containing 3 or 4 trandsducers and 1 bubbler for coupling purposes.

Touch panel controls make controlling the pneumatically actuated mechanics user friendly. In automatic mode, test heads extend and retract as the billet or bar passes through the system. Setups are easily stored and recalled for all round and billet sizes.

A new design eddy current test system for square billets has also been developed. The 8 channel system inspects the 4 flat surfaces and the corners of steel billets.
