NDT FOR MULTIPLE CONDITIONS IN TUBE AND PIPE PAPER AVAILABLE

MAC Vice President, Donald N. Bugden presented a detailed discussion of factors to consider in selecting the most effective nondestructive testing technique to use in inspecting tube and pipe. The paper covers a range of products, including extruded, welded, and seamless tube, along with different types of defects and conditions that may need to be detected. Test techniques discussed include eddy current, rotary ultrasonic, phase array ultrasonic, and flux leakage.

The paper was presented at the Tube & Pipe Association Conference on Extruding, Drawing & Tube Reducing in Scottsdale, AZ on Sep. 13 - 15, 2006. A downloadable PDF copy of the paper is available in the "About NDT" section of this MAC web site.
